This is Not Politically Correct

OK now you’ve read the title already so that is the disclaimer for today’s posting.  What you are about read is not politically correct.  And, quite frankly I offer no apologies because what I’m about to share is God’s word.

I have been reading from the book of Leviticus and recently I read chapter 18 and chapter 20.  Chapter 18 spells out God’s definition for sexual immorality.  In Chapter 20 we find the penalities for breaking God’s law.

I know some of you might be thinking…”yeah right that’s old testament and it only applies to the Jewish people.”    You might be inclined to say something like, “we live in a different time and our world is different now.”

Well now let me challenge you with this politically incorrect viewpoint.  As I read through these chapters I saw many different descriptions of incest.  So let’s ask ourselves this question, “Is incest wrong”?   Most people in our society I believe would answer a resounding “YES” and that would be politically correct.  I also saw descriptions in these chapters of bestiality.  So let’s ask ourselves another question, “Is it wrong for men and women to have sex with animals”?  I’m pretty sure that everyone reading this is screaming out “YES!!!” to that question.  Again that would be politically correct.  Finally, I saw some sentences that explained that homosexuality was wrong.  According to God’s definition of sexual immorality as found in Leviticus it is wrong for a man to have sex with another man.  Here is our final question, “Is homosexuality wrong”?   Now while you may have answered, “yes”…I would guess that we could easily find many people around us who would say “no”.

Our society calls homosexuality a lifestyle or a choice or they say that a person is simply “born that way”.  It’s politically incorrect to say that homosexual behavior is wrong.  So why is it we can all agree that incest is wrong and bestiality is wrong, but when it comes to homosexuality we are afraid to call it sin?

My advice… join me  in being politically incorrect.
