Hurting People…

Posted: March 4, 2010 in Church

There is an expression that goes, “hurting people, hurt people.”  I suppose that there is probably some truth to that expression.  But what if the opposite were true?  What if comforted people, comfort people.  What if healed people, heal people.  What if pleasing people, please people.  What if thriving people were to help other people thrive?

Isn’t that our purpose?  Isn’t that what the church ought to be about?  Jesus said in John 13:34 that he has given us a new commandment.  He said a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another.  As the church we need to live out this love.  What can you do?  What can I do to help others today?  Let’s be the church.
