Smellory

Smell + Memory = Smellory

Isn’t it something how a certain smell can trigger a memory?  Or how about vice versa?  Have you ever been thinking about a memory and suddenly it reminds you of a smell?  I have come up with my own little word for this odd occurrence…smellory.  For when those peculiar aromas trigger a memory, you can feel free to use this word.

18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
Philippians 4:18

What sort of sacrifice are we making?  Are we making a sacrifice with an aroma that is triggering any memories?  How does our sacrifice smell to God?  Does it trigger good memories or bad ones?  What’s your smellory?
