You seriously got to read this post by Pastor Steven Furtick. After reading it, I had to read that verse from Hebrews again.
Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Pastor Steven knocked this one out of the park with this post. Faith truly is substance. It is tangible. It’s not something that is out there just kind of floating in the atmosphere of our lives, but rather it is what we can grab a hold of and run with. I loved his illustration of hope being the blueprint while faith is the contractor.
What thing in your life have you just been sitting back and waiting for it to happen…wanting it to happen…desiring for it to happen. STOP! It’s time to put your hands to the plow. Put feet to your faith and begin building. Chance are that desire you have is really the blueprint given to you by God. Now it’s time to start construction. Psalm 37:4-5
