A Lesson From Dash

Dash is a very spoiled dog.
A couple of days ago PT shared with us some lessons he has learned (is trying to learn) from His dog Misty. So in the spirit of that I thought I would share with you a lesson I have learned from our dog. His name is Dash.
#1 - Don’t leave your crap on the front lawn.
Dash has the ability roam the entire lawn. He could consider any part of it his own personal toilet, but instead there are just a couple of areas where he leaves his load. Hmmm, you know there are more lessons than I can count that could come out of this…but let’s go with this one.
By limiting the areas where he leaves his refuse, he is much less likely to step in it. I have seen people who leave a trail of it everywhere they go. You’ve seen them too. In fact we are all probably guilty of it from time to time. You know what I’m talking about, that person who is always the victim and feels the need to share every wretched intimate detail of their brutally attacked life. Of course as we share our record of how people have wronged us we are certain to put our jabs in on them as well.
I guess the moral is that if the whole world is your toilet, you’re bound to step in your crap sooner or later. I don’t think it can be said anymore succintly than this:
Matthew 6:15
15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Rather than always being the victim and continually re-counting every wrong that someone has done to us…we need to forgive and move forward. God has so much more in store for you. He doesn’t want you stuck in hurt, fear, or loss. He has joy and victory for you. If you want to know your future…that’s it!
