Have you noticed that fools are no longer just for April Fools Day? They seem to be everywhere. I think they might even be in the mirror, but I’m afraid to look.
Paul actually wrote to the church of Corinth that the gospel of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. What we often see as foolishness is not foolish at all. Why? Because God’s wisdom and His way is not the same as our wisdom and our way.
That is why we (and when I say “we” I mean you AND me) have got to pray every single day that God would give us wisdom. If we could look at life and see it from God’s perspective we would be so much better off.
Oh and by the way, if we could grasp the concept that lost people see the gospel as foolish…it would radically change the way we do evangelism. I’ll have to save that thought for another day.
