3 Hardest Things To Say

Posted: February 25, 2009 in Church, Life in General

Here are the 3 hardest things in life that anyone would ever have to say:

  1. Where do you want to go to eat?
  2. Would you please suck out the poison for me?
  3. I was wrong, I’m sorry, will you forgive me?

No one ever wants to decide where to go to eat.  How many husbands/wives/boyfriends/girlfriends/friends/etc. have fought over this question?  And, as for poison…well it’s bad.

But how about saying, “I’m wrong?”  Nobody wants to be wrong, let alone admit that they are wrong.  Then to take it to the next step and ask for forgiveness is almost unthinkable.  For most of us, even offering forgiveness to someone who has wronged us can be a monumental task.

Yet, here is God’s perspective as found in 1 John 1:9:

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

No matter what we do wrong, have done wrong, or will do wrong in the future; we serve a God who is faithful and He is willing to forgive us.  All we have to do is simply ask.  God is good!
