I looked up the word “revival” on Pastor Tim’s favorite dictionary…dictionary.com and found this definition, “restoration to life.”  There have been a number of modern day revivals such as the Smithton Outpouring, Browsnville Revival, or more recently there is the Lakeland Revival.  I think this stuff is good.  So before you send the lynch mob, know that I think there are good things that have come out of these events.

But, wouldn’t it be better if we weren’t dead?  If we were not dead we would not need to be restored to life.  So instead of lying there dead why don’t we get up and dust ourselves off and just give God all that we have and all that we are every single day?  Why aren’t we in church every single Sunday worshipping God like there is no tomorrow?  Why are we waiting for something to happen instead of expecting something to happen?  Instead of waiting to be raised from the dead, why aren’t we being renewed daily? 2 Corinthians 4:16

I want to see hurting people healed.  I want to see lives transformed by the power of God.  I want to see people who are far from God turning to him.  I want to worship God with all that I have an all that I am.  Yes I am impatient with a righteous indignation to see God moving in my community and changing me and everyone around me.  I don’t want to wait for something to happen…I’m sick of luke warm…I’m tired of half way…mediocre makes ill.  I may not be ready, but I am anxious and I’m excited and most of all I’m expecting God to do what he said he would do.  He said the fields are ripe!  It’s time for the harvest!  John 4:34-36.
